Terms of Service
Effective October 1, 2026
These terms apply to the openscad-web website and its connected tools, including the Bongkow OpenSCAD plugin and MCP service, operated by BONGKOW. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
openscad-web lets you create, store, edit, render, and export parametric 3D designs using OpenSCAD. You may use the website directly or authorize a compatible assistant to use the service through MCP. The service does not operate a physical 3D printer.
Your account and connected assistants
Keep your sign-in account secure and only authorize clients you trust. A connected client can read or change designs within your account, and some tool calls save changes. Review the access you grant, check important changes, and revoke connections you no longer need through the app. Contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Your designs and other content
You retain any ownership rights you hold in designs, source code, notes, and images you provide. You give BONGKOW permission to store, process, render, and transmit that content only as needed to operate the service and carry out actions you authorize, including returning results to your connected clients. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content.
Only upload or use content you have the right to use. You are responsible for following any applicable licenses for imported models, code, fonts, and libraries. The service's source code and bundled third-party components remain subject to their respective open-source licenses; these terms do not replace those licenses.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and respect other people's rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access to another account, bypass access controls, upload malicious content, interfere with the service, or use it to facilitate illegal activity. Do not use automation in a way that disrupts the service for others.
Check designs before use
Generated code, previews, dimensions, and exported geometry may contain errors. You are responsible for checking a design's dimensions, units, clearances, materials, and suitability before manufacturing or using a physical part. Successful compilation or a manifold mesh is not a certification of safety, strength, or fitness for a particular purpose. Obtain appropriate professional review for applications where a failure could cause injury or damage.
Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy explains the data we collect, how it is used and retained, and your choices. Google sign-in and any connected assistant are also subject to their providers' terms and privacy policies. BONGKOW does not control those third-party services. Bongkow OpenSCAD is not an official OpenSCAD or OpenAI product.
Availability and responsibility
We may maintain, change, or discontinue features, and the service may be interrupted. Keep your own exported copies of important designs. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Ending use and access restrictions
You may stop using the service at any time, revoke connected clients, and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may restrict access when necessary to address misuse, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Data retention and deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies this version. Changes apply prospectively; review the current terms before continuing to use the service.
